TITLE: Director of Missions and Outreach


DIRECT OVERSEER: Ministry Lead


GENERAL FUNCTION: 
The Director of Missions and Outreach (Director) at Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church serves as an active, participating and voting member of the Missions Ministry Committee which is chaired by a member of the board of elders. The Director will also be directly responsible for all GO! initiatives relating to the church and its members. The Director will act as the staff liaison between the Missions Ministry Committee and the church staff. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties shall include, however not necessarily limited to…)

Community Involvement and Outreach
Oversee the large scale ‘GO’ weekends to mobilize the church to serve the local community. (2-4 annually)
Work alongside Small Groups and Student Ministries to promote service opportunities.
Be available both before and after each of the weekend worship services primarily to help recruit people for areas of Service.
Attend staff meetings and other events where the presence of staff is requested, acting as a liaison to the Mission Ministry Committee.
Oversee and integrate the Community Involvement and Outreach for all church properties.
Domestic and International Missions
Assist the Missions Ministry Committee and the trip leaders (as appropriate) in the coordination of national and international short term mission trips 
Mobilize the congregation and Missions Ministry Committee to connect relation-ally with Mission partners.
Attend Conferences on Missions, when it is held within driving distance, to meet with out of town Missionaries attending the conference.
Promote short term mission trips to life groups, conferances and the congregation as a whole.
Assist with the operations and processes for short term mission trips. This will include publicity of the trip, handling payments, scholarships and other functions where an on-site person is desirable.
Oversee the scholarship programs supported by the Missions Ministry, including the Bible College scholarships.

Planning and Leadership Influence 
As a voting member of the Missions Ministry Committee and a liaison to the church staff, contribute to the development of LPHC long term vision, strategy and growth plans for both Community Involvement and Outreach and Domestic and International Missions. Establish effective relationships with the staff and communicate both directions between the Missions Ministry Committee and staff and the staff to avoid confusion and a decreased effectiveness of the planned function. This process will require working in collaboration with Missions Ministry Committee team leaders, the Eldership and Church Staff to ensure alignment with church objectives and to exchange information and resources necessary to meet shared goals.
